Minivalve International is a company dedicated to the development, manufacturing and worldwide distribution of miniature, self-actuating valves and elastomeric valve components. Particularly one-way valves and pressure-relief valves such as duckbill valves and umbrella valves.
We supply to OEMs in the healthcare, automotive, appliance, water-handling, and food and packaging industries.
Our manufacturing facility is located in Oldenzaal, The Netherlands, about an hour and a half east of Amsterdam, in the area of Twente, known for its excellent technical and economical infrastructure.
The company was started in 1999 by Peter Nijland with the idea that a small, highly specialized organization solely dedicated to the development and manufacturing of small elastomeric valves could provide the market with better fluid control solutions at lower cost. We believe we are unique in the world with this business concept.

Product development
Our (product development) engineering develops miniature fluid control components for both our catalog as well as for your specific customized requirements.
We have three core competences:
• Knowledge of fluid control technology supported by our flow and leak test laboratory
• Knowledge of elastomers as engineering material supported by 3D CAD and FEA capability
• Knowledge of clean and precision manufacturing technologies supported by excellent molding tool building resources
These three competencies allow us to take an integrated approach when designing a new part, taking function, quality and cost simultaneously into consideration.
Manufacturing
Our main manufacturing processes are:
• Precision molding liquid silicone rubber (LSR or LIM)
• Precision molding of exotic elastomers such as fluorocarbon(FKM) and fluorosilicone(FVMQ) rubber and millable high-consistency silicone.
• (Semi-) automatic finishing, washing and clean-room packing
We concentrate our manufacturing technology on automatic, flashless, runnerless, no-waste manufacturing concepts.
most processes are run in a clean-room environment to avoid contamination with particulate matter.
Quality system
As a young company we were able to start from a clean sheet with the design of our quality system. We organise our procedures according to ISO 9000, QS 9000, GMP and HACCP simultaneously. We hope to obtain our ISO 9000 certification in the near future.
Sales Distribution
We have specialized in a niche where technical support is of key importance for high customer satisfaction for both valve selection from our catalog as well as for successful development of a customized part. Therefore our sales efforts have a strong technical orientation so we can help our customers solve their fluid control problem. To assure short and effective communication we choose to serve all customers directly:
